Lazy Halloween Costumes

If you are a total procrastinator like me and Halloween has crept up on you faster than a ghost in a haunted house, don’t worry! I’ve got you covered with my favorite lazy Halloween costumes!

1. Identity Thief

Grab some sticky name tags from your local office supply store and fill them with as many names as you can think of. The more, the better! Stick them all over your shirt, and voila! Instant identity theft Halloween costume. To take it up a notch, add a fedora and some dark shades to protect your identity 😉

2. Disney Tourist

This one is ridiculously easy! All you need is a fanny pack, some Mickey Mouse ears, and a Disney-themed t-shirt. You’ll have a fun and super lazy Halloween costume!

3. Ceiling Fan

I’m a huge fan of punny costumes, and this one is probably my favorite! Grab some iron-on printer paper from any craft store. Type some clever words supporting your favorite ceiling and iron it on any old t-shirt you have lying around. Add some pom-poms, and you have a very punny and cheap costume!

4. Pigs in a Blanket

Um, how cute are they??? This is probably the easiest last-minute lazy Halloween costume on the planet, not to mention it’s another punny one 😉 For this one, cut up an egg carton, paint the cups pink on the outside, and add a couple of black dots. Attach strings, and you have some pretty adorable pig noses! Cut triangles out of pink felt for the ears and glue them onto a cheap plastic headband. Lastly, wrap these cutie patooties in blankets, and you’ll have a pretty worthy costume!

5. Spa Girl

Mud mask, curlers, and a bathrobe. Need I say more? This one is great because your skin will look AMAZING the next morning!

6. Bunch of Grapes

Lazy Halloween Costumes

This one is pretty self-explanatory! Find a purplish shirt, blow up some purple balloons, and you’ll have a pretty adorable bunch of grapes! The best way to stick the balloons to your shirt is with good old-fashioned duct tape.

7. 404 Error

This is the ultimate slacker costume, but it always gets a good laugh. It’s especially great for teenage boys who want maximum candy with minimal effort. Grab some iron-on printer paper, choose a good typewriter font, and you too can have this super lazy Halloween costume.

8. Man Stuck in a Hurricane

Okay, this one takes a little bit of acting to pull off, otherwise, you’ll just look like a trash pile. If you’re willing to put in a tiny bit of work, you don’t even have to leave your house to pull this costume together. Turn an old umbrella inside out and tape some strategically placed flyers around your body, and you’ll have a fully functional costume! The trick is to walk like you’re being blown backward.

9. “When Life Gives You Lemons…”

This is probably the most appropriate 2020 costume on the planet, let’s be real. This year has been full of all the life lemons! Grab some iron-on t-shirt paper and make a life decal, iron it onto a t-shirt you have lying around, and grab a bowl of lemons. Boom. You’re a winner.
