1. Identify the page owner & try to contact them

Start by identifying the current owner of your Facebook Page. Depending on whether you’re using the “Classic Page” version or the “New Page Experience,” the process may differ. Once you’ve identified the owner, reach out to them if you recognize the business or any of the listed admins. They may be able to grant you access through their page settings or Business Managers.

2. Use the “Give Feedback On This Business” functionality

If you don’t recognize the business that currently owns your Facebook Page, you may have the option to give feedback directly to Facebook. Look for the “Give Feedback On This Business” button next to your page. Click the button and choose the option that best describes your situation. Facebook Support will contact you for further information within 24 hours.

3. Submit an “admin dispute request”

If you see a message about a pending partner request on your Page Settings / Page Role page, you can submit an Admin Dispute Request. This is a shortcut to get directly into the right Facebook support issue. Follow the instructions to provide the necessary information to resolve your Business Admin Dispute and regain access.

4. Contact Facebook – here’s the exact information to use

If the previous options don’t work, you’ll need to reach out to Facebook support directly. Follow these steps:

  • Visit the Facebook Support page and select your page or the business you’re trying to regain access to.
  • If you can’t select them, choose any asset.
  • Provide the following information in your ticket:
    • The Facebook Page URL you’re requesting access to or the Facebook Business Manager Name and ID.
    • A copy of a valid government-issued photo ID, such as a current driver’s license or passport.
    • The Facebook email address and profile URL associated with the account you want to add as the new admin.
    • A description of your relationship to the business and your authority to request access.
    • An explanation of your request and any termination of employment or business relationship.
    • The past three invoices/billing statements on the ad account(s) owned by the business.
    • The last 4 digits of the credit card(s) on the account(s).
    • If the Business Manager doesn’t have any ad account, declare it in the statement.
    • A declaration that the provided information is true and accurate, signed by hand.
    • Proper business documents to confirm your connection to the business.
