Hello Neighbor 2 Walkthrough – The Barn
After the opening cutscene in Hello Neighbor 2, you find yourself trapped in a barn with your crashed van. Your first challenge is to solve the puzzle that will set you free. Look for a lever next to a mesh of colorful cogs. Pull the red lever to open the first door.
Next, find a key hanging on a rack near a blue door in the barn. Grab the key and use it to unlock the nearby lock. Inside, you’ll discover the first cog, which you can place into the mechanism by the barn door.
To the right of the mechanism, you’ll find a crowbar sticking out of a wooden crate. Take the crowbar and use it to open the crate. Inside, you’ll find some stones. Pick up a stone and throw it into the glass display case on your right to collect another cog.
Finally, return to the room where you woke up after the crash. You’ll find a boarded door that you can now open with the crowbar. Climb up the ladder, jump to the upper level, and grab the final cog from the table. Return to the barn door, insert the final cog, and escape!
Hello Neighbor 2 Walkthrough Day 1 – The Neighbor’s House and Treehouse
On your first day in the neighborhood, you wake up in your TV reporting studio. The monitors show a police officer outside a house. Your task is to investigate that house, just like in the first Hello Neighbor game.

Your objective for today is to find a way into the Petersons’ basement to search for clues. To do this, you need to collect four keys and unlock the door in the middle of the home.
Before collecting the scissors and heading upstairs, complete all your tasks downstairs. The police officer seems to stay outside until you go upstairs. Also, make sure to immediately place any items you find in their appropriate locations to prevent losing progress if caught by the police officer.
Hello Neighbor 2 Safe Code
In the back left-hand corner of the Peterson house, next to the living room, you’ll find a safe. To unlock it, you need to find four wooden blocks and arrange them in the order of the flags behind the safe.
The first block is next to the safe, the second block is in the living room with the TV, the third block is in the toilet, and the fourth block is behind the dinner plate inside the kitchen’s fridge. Arrange the blocks in the order of red, blue, green, yellow. The code for the safe is 1984, which grants you the first key.
Hello Neighbor 2 Code Lock
Look behind you as you face the safe, next to the stairs, and you’ll find a picture on the wall. Interact with it to reveal a three-digit code lock. To decipher the code, go to the living room and turn on the TV. Pay attention to the show called “Sound of Nature” or “Nouds of tenure.” The three letters of the show spell out the code “NOT”, which unlocks a secret room.
Hello Neighbor 2 Doll House Figures
Inside the secret room under the stairs, you’ll find an extra crowbar and a figurine of the Peterson boy. Take the figurine to the kitchen, where you’ll find a doll house with three pressure plates on top. Look at the picture on the fridge and place the boy’s figure in the middle slot, following the image.
On the right side of the doll house, use the crowbar to remove a wooden board on the wall. Inside the crevice, you’ll find a figure of the Peterson girl. Place her figure on the left. Now, go back to the stairs, turn around, and look above the wardrobe. Move the painting to access a vent containing a figure of Hello Neighbor himself, Mr. Peterson. Place his figure on the right side of the doll house.
Completing this puzzle earns you the second key for the basement.
Hello Neighbor 2 – How to Get Scissors
Once you’ve finished exploring the downstairs of the Peterson house, head outside and cross the road. You’ll come across a trampoline. Jump on it to reach the roof of the neighboring house.
Climb across the branch to access the treehouse and interact with the picture of a robot on the wall. This reveals a hidden compartment with a sword inside. Attach the sword to the robot, matching its arm positions to the picture. This opens the robot’s stomach, revealing a switch handle.

Place the switch handle in the slot next to the train set and pull it. This dislodges the scissors, allowing you to open the upstairs area of the Peterson house.
Hello Neighbor 2 Photo Frame Pieces
There are two keys hidden in the upstairs area of the Peterson house. They can be quite challenging to acquire, so prepare yourself for potential encounters with the police officer.
First, use the scissors to remove the tape covering the stairs and go to the top floor. Enter the first door on your left and find a torn-up photo on the dresser. Interact with it. In the room before the bedroom, snip the crime tape and take the first photo piece from the shelves. Place it in the photo frame immediately.
The next photo piece is in a crate on the landing. Use the crowbar to open the crate and slot the piece into the frame.
In the bedroom with the photo frame, climb onto the shelves, snip the cobwebs, and grab a kettlebell. Carry the kettlebell down the hallway and place it on a pressure plate behind the wardrobe. Another compartment will open, revealing another photo piece. Return it to the frame.
Beside the pressure plate, you’ll find a cushion you can snip open to retrieve the final photo piece. With all four pieces returned, a shelf will push out of the bookcase, granting you the third key.
Hello Neighbor 2 Remote Control Car Puzzle
Head back upstairs to the room before the bedroom with the photo frame. Pick up a handle from the floor inside a crate. Insert the handle into a switch next to the bookcase by the door. This reveals a hidden room where you can find a battery by removing the cobwebs.
Take the battery to the controller for the remote control car and interact with it. The car will go under the bed and retrieve the final key. Use the controller again to bring the car back and collect the key.
Be cautious, as activating the car may attract the attention of the police officer. Hide in the nearby wardrobe if you hear him. Additionally, avoid stepping on squeaky toys in the middle of the rug, as they can make noise and reveal your location. If the police officer blocks the car, create a distraction elsewhere, allowing you to collect the key without being caught.
Once you have the key, make your way back downstairs and into the basement.
